Yeah, FOTUS Felon of the United States. Wow, congratulations to the rabid right wing ChristoFascist Republicans, their MAGA knuckle dragger minions, and the lazy assed Democrats/Independents who sat on their fat asses not even voting at all. So we now approach (@3days from 01/17/2025), the inauguration/swearing in of the convicted and sentenced FELON as the new President. Lordy, lordy, where has our national intelligence gone?
We all recognize Trump’s constant demand about his all things being FIRST. Well, now he truly is First. the First Convicted Felon to be elected President. Was this truly the “Will of the People”? Not by a long damn shot. He got the office because a significant group of voters were too damn lazy to get off their butts and go to the polls. Oh yeah, I heard all those idiotic crap comments about how they didn’t vote because they didn’t like Kamala. Really, so how you like things now, you smarmy jerks?
A corrupt hack who, along with members of his family stole taxpayer funds by the truckload, solicited and received millions in bribes, and lied every single moment he was awake, was beaten in his first term reelection by a significant margin of votes and never, ever accepted that he had lost. So now the rabid right wing ChristoFascist MAGA Republican leaning minority along with the “I don’t like the Democrat Candidate” idiots, has been allowed a second round of corruption and attempts at turning our democracy into an aristocratic fascist near theocratic state. One where the wealthy will increase their billions by leaps and bounds, and the workers will become poorer with minimal employment rights, and have less individual freedom. Bet on it!!
This old curmudgeon has several friends who have the financial wherewithal to pack up their old kit bags and depart these shores for a less fascist oriented environment . Well they are doing it, by droves! The old curmudgeon fervently wishes he had been able to build a retirement fund that would allow the Bride and I to go along with them but there it is, that’s life! We will hunker down in our new house, in our senior oriented community, keep to our own and pray mightily that fortunes will change to aid in blocking the FOTUS’ assault on our rights, our climate, our cost of goods, and of course our position as a democracy rather than a latter day image of the Hitlerian 1930’s Germany.
One can only hope that we will have sufficient folks in our political world who still retain a decent level of integrity, honor, and love of country to blunt the assault by oligarchs against the American people and our beloved nation. As for this old senior citizen, I have been rather disappointed too many times to look through rose colored glasses at our near future with anything except abject fear for our nation and it’s people.
